Privacy policy

• Location searches. When you type an address or choose “Use my location”, the address or your device's location is used to work out driving distances to our locations. We don't store it.
• Referrals from veterinarians. The referral form collects the referring clinic and veterinarian's name, email and phone number, the reason for referral, and the medical records attached. Records usually include the pet owner's details.
• This website doesn't use analytics or advertising cookies. Google may receive technical information, such as your IP address, when its map services load.

• To show you which location is closest.
• To send each referral to the location the referring veterinarian chooses, so its team can arrange care and contact the referring clinic.
• We don't sell personal information or use it for marketing.

• Referral records are kept in private, access-controlled storage in Canada (Montréal), provided by our hosting company, Vercel.
• The chosen location is notified by email through our email provider, Resend, which processes email in the United States. That email contains the referring veterinarian's contact details, the case summary and secure download links; the records themselves stay in storage.
• The website runs on Vercel's servers, which may process requests outside Canada, including in the United States. Distance and address lookups are handled by Google Maps Platform.
• Information handled outside Canada may be subject to the laws of that country.

• Referral records are deleted from our storage 30 days after they're uploaded. Download links in referral emails stop working after 7 days.
• Once a location saves records to the patient's file, it keeps them under its own record-keeping obligations.
• Location searches aren't stored.

• Every page and upload uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS).
• Stored records can only be opened through signed links that expire; they're never publicly available.
• Access is limited to the location receiving the referral and the team that maintains this website.

Veterinarians who send a referral confirm that the owner has agreed to the referral and that they're authorized to share the records.
